The Inspiration

Ayers Hospitality Associates has over forty five years of international management experience in city, spa, restaurants and resort properties. Following years in international hospitality management, development and planning, and the experience of acting as Director of Asset Management over a portfolio of Fairmont and Hilton hotels in Canada and the USA, Stephen Ayers realized that there is a lack of affordable professional assistance for independent owners, investors and smaller properties.

Combining operational management experience with in-depth knowledge of asset management, AYERS Hospitality brings a unique capability to help guide and ameliorate both small and large operations across the industry spectrum.

Founder & Managing Director

William Ayers

Ayers Hospitality Associates is managed by William Ayers.

He is a graduate of the prestigious Baruch College in New York City, and worked his way through college as a realtor in the city.

William learned and grew up in the hotel business with the family. Upon graduating he transferred to Toronto to join Fishman Holdings North America Inc., an asset management group.

Overseeing multiple shopping malls across Canada, his position required in-depth knowledge of the mall real estate landscape, negotiation skills along with budgeting, leasing, marketing and ‘on the ground’ inspections and meetings at the firm’s properties.

A passionate lover of dogs and a true entrepreneurial spirit, William founded and operated a successful brand of Pet Retail stores in Toronto Canada for over 7 years. Named after his late boxer, the brand offered retail floors, training, day care, grooming, and became a beloved village one-stop-shop in the heart of downtown Toronto.

William has invaluable experience in the property sector, brings vast experience in management, marketing, personal service and client relations, and an intimate knowledge of all things hotel.

Stephen W. Ayers

A graduate ‘cum laude’ of the famous Lausanne Swiss Hotel School, Stephen has experienced a colorful career that has spanned over four decades in the hospitality industry.

Stephen has worked in and managed hotels in England, Israel, South Africa, Cyprus, Germany and Canada.

He has amassed over forty years experience in managing hotels across the spectrum of city, resort and spa properties, covering both four star and five star luxury properties.

Appointed General Manager at age thirty three, he has opened many hotels and has developed a brand of hotels from pre-opening to a six property chain.

As Executive Assistant and Food and Beverage Director he assisted in the opening of the famous King Solomon’s Palace Hotel Eilat Israel.

As General Manager of the David Citadel Hotel he welcomed many heads of state, celebrities and guests from across the globe.

In Cyprus he managed the Coral Beach Resort and Spa, a well known and popular property on the waterfront.

In Canada he was at the forefront of a destination resort project in Fort Erie Ontario that would have included a 400 room property, a horse racing track and an open air mall.

Appointed Director of Asset Management for 360 Vox, he oversaw a portfolio that included The Fairmont Chateau Frontenac Quebec City, The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Montreal, The Fairmont Chateau Laurier Ottawa, The Washington DC Fairmont and two Hilton properties in Toronto Ontario.

It is through his experiences that Stephen has realised that properties need experienced assistance in pursuing the best possible operation leading to results. At STAY Hospitality Partnership, has has developed a variety of programs to help in dependent owners and operators.

Stephen is a self published author who has written self help titles, thrillers and childrens books.
