“You’ve gotta have heart…”
That famous song by Eddie Fisher says it all.
Successful businesses all share common ingredients. But there’s one that no amount of money can buy.
Heart.
Here in Kensington Market, there’s a small café called Pamenar. It’s not flashy. It wasn’t built with massive investment. It’s simple. Wooden tables. A narrow room. A patio that feels like Tuscany in summer.
Mint growing in the sun. Apples falling in autumn. Windows fogging in winter.
The coffee? Excellent. The food? Delicious.
But that’s not why it’s special.
The owner knows his guests. Remembers their favorite drinks. Sometimes offers a coffee “on the house.” It feels less like a business… and more like a second home.
That’s heart.
Many businesses fail and say, “But I did everything by the book.”
The book doesn’t guarantee warmth. It doesn’t create atmosphere. It doesn’t build loyalty.
Heart does.
So here’s the question: when you look at your business - does it have heart?
Because without it, it’s just another place.
And with it… it becomes unforgettable.
